General Thoughts on my Blog

I have had my blog for about 3 weeks now.  I’m not totally sure what I expected this activity to be so I’m not sure if I’ve achieved my goal. Did I HAVE a goal? Do I need a goal?

There are only a couple blogs that I read with any regularity.  The major one is my online friend Pook’s blog  http://planetpooks.wordpress.com.  Most of the others I read are ones I’ve found through her blog.  She is a great writer, has fantastic ideas and has some very kewl friends. She is very enouraging too. But ENOUGH about her, for now anyway, or she will get swelled head.  Back to my own comments on blogging. 

As I said I don’t have a lot of experience reading blogs, so when I decided to write one, it was one of those thoughts of just writing about this and that and whatever comes to mind.  What mind? 

Blogging is not as easy as I thought it would be.  It’s also not as difficult. I sometimes have to try to think of what to write, and other times I have several thoughts all at the same time… (and THAT’s an accomplishment) and could just write and write and write. When I read a blog I think those writers have great ideas and want to write about those ideas.  But should I just comment on their blogs or should I pirate the ideas for my own? Is that legal? 

Then I start thinking about the people who may be reading this.  I think there are a few as the blog count goes up at times.  Would they find my comments interesting? Entertaining? Boring?  Does it matter?  The writing of this blog is for my own pleasure and entertainment. I hope some others find it interesting, at least enough to return on occasion and even find the desire to comment on a post or two.  But if they don’t…well I’m writing for myself.  I think.  Yes I am.  I’m sure of that. Maybe. 

So, it still comes back to what to write about.  I named my blog “My worlds a zoo” because I love animals and both work and volunteer at a zoo but I don’t want to only write about animals.  Is that ok, with a title like I have? My world can be a bit crazy too,,,so that can be construed as a zoo.  In all, just like everyone else.  Crazy.

Then I have the problem of the technicalities of blogging  like I just had.  I had my blog written for tonight and I thought it was pretty good, if I say so myself. And I do… say so myself. The Blog was pretty good. It had some humor, it has some substance, it had IDEAS, but somehow, even though I saved it, and even read it on the blog page, I went and was playing with some of the options again, trying to figure out how to get my blog to show next and previous posts, and somehow I lost about half my good post for tonight.  Phooey. 

I needed more in the blog than what was left but … All the great comments I made are lost to my short attention span. I don’t remember what I wrote that was so stupendous the first time.  There were some comments about Pook’s post on Harry Potter and should I just comment on her blog, or should I shamelessly steal…errrr borrow… errr claim the idea and post something similar here?

There was a super humorous comment about editing that had a play on words sort of like. I no I knead two edit my words so I right things sew people understand what I mean to say.  But it sounded better the first time.  <sigh>

There was the Great final comment that I was watching As Time Goes By and indeed time had gone and I needed to go to bed because I had to work at the zoo tomorrow.  Somehow, my blog does return to the topic of zoos. 

I also tried to come up with a great closing line.  As time zoos by or some such.  But that is for another time.  

But all the good stuff disappeared, I don’t remember all of it and I can’t find where it went, don’t know why it left, and darn it, it is time for bed, and I have to close for now.  Nite all.  Nytol,
